Her Future Scholarship

Mission 

The Her Future Scholarship is an initiative of the Aggie Golden Arrows Alumni Association dedicated to supporting the educational and leadership growth of women at Texas A&M University.

Created to invest in the next generation of Aggie women leaders, the scholarship provides financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic ambition, leadership, service, and a commitment to making a positive impact on campus and in their communities.

Scholarship Award 

Each year, the Aggie Golden Arrows Alumni Association awards one $500 Her Future Scholarship to an outstanding woman at Texas A&M University. The scholarship is intended to help offset educational expenses while recognizing a student's leadership, service, and commitment to academic success.

The Her Future Scholarship application will be available here beginning July 15, 2026. 

In the meantime, we encourage prospective applicants to review the application instructions and begin preparing the required materials. This will help ensure you are ready to submit your application once it opens.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Identify as a woman.

• Be currently enrolled at Texas A&M University.

• Be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.

• Remain in good academic standing with Texas A&M University.

• Submit a completed application and all required materials by the application deadline.

Application Requirements 

To be considered, applicants must submit:

• A completed scholarship application.

• Verification of Enrollment from Texas A&M University (available through Howdy Portal).

• A current resume that includes campus involvement, leadership experience, work experience, volunteer service, and other activities (if applicable).

• Responses to the application questions below:

Application Questions 

1.  How has being a woman shaped your educational, leadership, or personal journey, and how do you hope to empower or inspire other women in the future?
   Maximum: 300 words

2. Describe a time you demonstrated leadership, resilience, or service to others. What did you learn from the experience?
   Maximum: 300 words

3. How will the Her Future Scholarship help you achieve your educational and career goals?
   Maximum: 250 words

4. Is there anything else you would like the selection committee to know? (Optional)
   Maximum: 200 words

• Applications Open: July 15, 2026

• Application Deadline: August 16, 2026, at 11:59 PM (CT)

• Scholarship Recipient Announced: September 7, 2026

• Late, incomplete, or ineligible applications will not be considered.

• The Aggie Golden Arrows Alumni Association reserves the right to verify any information submitted as part of the application.

• The selection committee's decisions are final.

• By accepting the scholarship, the recipient agrees that the Aggie Golden Arrows Alumni Association may recognize their achievement through its website, social media, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
